Project Purpose

The purpose of the project is to enhance the infrastructure and expand the programs of the Inkluzivni Park in Vrhnika, which has been operational for 5 years. The park is dedicated to outdoor leisure activities, educational programs, exploring new practices in sustainable agriculture, and the use of natural resources. We will collaborate with local associations and institutions, such as the Kneipp Society, preschools/schools, scouts, artists, the Vrhnik Student Club, and other interested organizations like the University of Ljubljana. Individuals with business ideas related to therapeutic riding, beekeeping, herbalism, and hospitality services are also welcome.

We will develop new programs focused on intergenerational collaboration, addressing topics such as healthy living, locally grown food, environmental education, sustainable lifestyles, biodiversity, and cultural expression. We aim to involve high school students and relevant field students through internships, integrating them into the park’s operations and development processes, thus linking educational institutions with the business sector.

The park will be constructed using natural materials and will be self-sufficient in energy (renewable energy sources) and water. Rainwater collectors and a treatment plant will be installed to provide technical water for irrigating community gardens. Green spaces will be managed with the help of animals (horses, sheep, etc.), which will be used for sports, education, and therapy.

The improved infrastructure will enhance park accessibility for disabled individuals and elderly visitors, and support the development of new activities and offerings. The project will establish a herb garden, greenhouse, beekeeping areas, Kneipp elements, playground, animal enclosures, a traditional wooden hayrack, walking paths, riding areas, and fruit trees for local fruit production.

This new offering will provide diverse opportunities for individual, family, and community development, cultural enrichment, and the creation of a pleasant, healthy living environment with rich biodiversity.
